April 24th Comic Jam - Bunnies

Remember when everything was covered in snow? Like, just the other day?
Last month, our jam theme was BUNNIES, and as usual, the jammers had a ball with it. For your enjoyment, I am posting last month's artwork.

I've scanned and am formatting the fantastic creations from the May18th Chinatown Remixed launch. Clayton and I had such a great time jamming with people who came out to see what we were up to at My Sweet Tea. The staff was fantastic and supportive and I got to try my first bubble tea n__n Keep an eye on the site, should get those images up fairly soon, if all goes well.

Thanks to the Shanghai Restaurant, Don Kwan and the rest of the great staff for providing a safe, creative space for the Ottawa Comic Jam. Last month's jam included the following artists and writers: Scott MacLellan, Sue Marsden, Clayton Jacobs, Sebastien Bailard, Andrew Stutt, Mackenzie Baird, Mike Schnier, Liz Walsh, James Rule, Gérard Bélec, Tim Grant, Martin Villemaire, Sophie Nicholas, Sasha L. Lawless, Marisol Eggleton and Brian Lamey.

Thanks to all of you for taking the time to join us and explore our Bunnies theme. It was a great time and I look forward to drawing/ creating cooperative artwork with all of you in the near future! Hopefully this coming Wednesday, for our 4th Anniversary Comic Jam :-)

Announcements for May

Special thanks to the Frantics for their pink cake.
Mark your calendars comic jam lovers! May marks a very busy month for comic-related stuff. This past weekend was the fantastic Ottawa Comiccon which saw Ottawa Jammers out in full force, selling their beautiful artwork and taking commissions.  It was wonderful seeing Ronn Sutton & Janet Hetherington's work, Amy Van Torre, Susan Shore and Matt and Anne Erkhart at the con, as well as past jammers Tom Fowler and Dominic Chénier (of Mirror Comics.) Jammers Colleen Temple and Scott MacLellan took the journey last weekend to enjoy TCAF (the Toronto Comic Arts Festival), which unfortunately was scheduled on the same days as the con.
